Just some more experiments compositing in Fusion's true 3D environment using nodes. Pretty, rad.
Playing with multiple layers of effects and particle systems and colors and style and all that nonsense. One thing I'm always trying to do is make motion graphic and VFX look natural and organic. Many of them look extremely polished and pristine and there's for sure a place for that but it's fun to make it look and feel almost analog somehow.
Like anyone we've been binging on Stranger Things Season 2. In light of the recent release we decided to do our own short based on an idea that stemmed from a recent sleepless night in the life of our buddy Jonny Ringle. Happy Halloween, enjoy!

I've been cleaning and organizing some files today and found a few After Effects experiments I did using Element 3D.
Here's another test using a stock watch model in Element 3D. These test were primarily and exercise in making 3D animation look and feel as organic as possible.
Myself and several of my colleagues recently worked on a short film of our own just for fun. The idea stems from a vision my friend Jonny had a few weeks back. He was staying the night in our basement and thought he heard something, he then started to envision this ridiculous short film based off his current situation and when I came downstairs in the morning he was sitting at our table exhausted, hunched over a smattering of storyboards surrounded by a bunch of melted candles. So we thought we'd get after it. We shot it in one day - load in was at 9am and we finally left the location at 3am... it was a great shoot but I still hurt thinking about it.
We're currently deep into post production but I'll be sure to post it when it goes live. It's called "Hi, My Name Is Josh."
